"It's replaced so many different systems that we were using, and now it's all in one place. I love how everything talks to each other. That's been my favorite part for sure."

Milwaukee Domes Alliance
The Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory, known affectionately as "the Domes," has been a fixture of Milwaukee for roughly a century. Its three iconic geodesic structures house desert, tropical, and floral environments, and generations of Milwaukee families have grown up visiting them.
Milwaukee Domes Alliance is the nonprofit behind the programming, education, events, and community engagement that bring the Domes to life. With fewer than 20 total staff, the organization produces five major public events each year, runs an active membership program, and delivers one of Milwaukee's most robust youth education programs.
But before Veevart, the operational picture was fragmented.
Donations were tracked in one place, memberships in another, with no easy way to see the full picture of supporter engagement. Staff described having "a million tabs open at any time."
In a lean nonprofit, every hour spent on data entry is an hour not spent on education, outreach, or event production.
Without centralized data, identifying members who had not renewed and reaching out to re-engage them was simply not possible.
The team lacked the reporting and analysis capabilities a growing nonprofit needs to make confident, informed decisions.
Milwaukee Domes Alliance implemented Veevart to consolidate donor management, membership tracking, and constituent engagement into a single unified system. The shift from fragmented, paper-heavy processes to one connected platform changed how the entire team works.
Donations, memberships, and communications now live in one place. Systems that once operated in isolation communicate with each other, giving staff a complete view of every constituent relationship.
Routine data operations are now handled automatically, freeing staff to focus on the work that actually advances the mission.
The team can now identify lapsed members, examine what they have in common, and run targeted outreach campaigns to bring them back. This kind of data-driven membership management was not possible before.
Veevart powers member check-ins via iPad at the admissions desk, operated by Milwaukee County Parks staff. The transition has been smooth with no friction reported from front-line users.
Since implementing Veevart, membership has climbed to the highest levels in the organization's history. Staff attribute this directly to the ability to identify and re-engage lapsed members through campaigns that were not previously possible.
More than doubled field trip enrollment in a single year, scaling to over 4,500 students without adding staff. Veevart gave the operational foundation to manage fast growth seamlessly and to keep extending it in coming years.
Events and community programs are well attended and demand continues to grow. The organization describes being in full swing following the disruptions of 2020 through 2022.
With automation handling the repetitive work, staff have more capacity for education programming, community outreach, and event production.
"The best thing about it, being a smaller nonprofit organization, is having a system that automates so many things because it opens up your time to do more important things than just data entry."

Milwaukee Domes Alliance
Milwaukee Domes Alliance serves a community with a large Spanish-speaking population. In a meaningful step toward greater accessibility, the organization translated its entire website into Spanish, making information about visiting, memberships, and programs available to more families.
Community members are also invited to participate in events and, in some cases, sell food or goods through the gift shop, reflecting a commitment to embedding the institution within the neighborhood it serves rather than operating apart from it.
Education remains the organization's primary measure of mission impact. The growth in student visits is not just an operational win. It is proof that the mission is working.

Milwaukee County is currently evaluating options for the conservatory's physical structures, which require significant repairs. Milwaukee Domes Alliance is committed to supporting whatever path forward is chosen.
Through that uncertainty, the mission is clear: grow the education program, deepen community ties, and ensure that the families of Milwaukee continue to have access to a treasured green space that generations have called their own.
Veevart is the operational foundation making all of it possible.
